Gill Douglas is an artist and printmaker working from her home studio in the centre of York, The Lighthouse. Originally trained as a theatre designer she cut her teeth working at the Theatre Royal in 1976, before becoming a freelance artist in 1983, working across all mediums. We discuss her creative journey from art school to the present day, about working through illness and adapting to limitations, and about where great art comes from.
