Creative Opportunities: November 2023
Your monthly round up of news, events, opportunities, call-outs and funding
November beckons, bringing a whole host of exciting creative happenings for you to devour!
First up is the third instalment of our public displays of creativity. We’re calling these interventions ‘PROOF’, aiming to surprise, delight and inspire the public by showcasing new works by local creatives.
PROOF III will take place on 1st and 2nd November in the city centre. To find the exact location on each day you will need to decipher the clues posted on our Instagram feed. Keep your eyes peeled!
Following this, on 3rd November we’ll have a talk by AY-PE called The Projectorists, with the aim being that a small group of projection enthusiasts will be formed who will go on to develop exciting projection work in the city. Want to join us? Grab a ticket here.
The third highlight we must draw your attention to is the generous 50% off at Aesthetica Film Festival for all York residents.
The festival runs 8-12 November all across the city, and includes REIGNITE II - an event all about the future economy of the creative sector in York. Reserve a ticket for that here (you don’t have to attend the festival to attend REIGNITE).
As ever, stay curious and keep creating.
